Bilt Hamber Atom-Mac is a water-borne, contact and migratory corrosion inhibitor designed to protect ferrous metal surfaces from rust. Diluted in deionised or distilled water prior to application, it forms an invisible protective layer across exposed surfaces and enclosed voids.
The product releases vapour-phase inhibitors that migrate into hard-to-reach areas, rendering it suitable for vehicle undersides, brake components, hollow cavities, bicycles, machinery, and garden equipment. It is safe for use on painted surfaces and can be integrated into regular wash routines or post-de-rusting treatments.

- Winter Road Salt Neutralisation: Neutralises corrosive salt deposits on vehicle chassis, suspension components, and undersides.

Dilution & Usage Instructions
General Surface & Underbody Spray
- Dilute 2% to 5% Atom-Mac in deionised or distilled water.
- Spray liberally onto vehicle undersides, suspension, tools, machinery, or bicycle frames.
- Allow to air dry.
Pressure Washer Application
- Meter the pressure washer dosing valve to achieve approximately 2% concentration at the nozzle tip.
- Spray over the underside and chassis at the end of the wash cycle.
Brake Discs & Wheels
- Mix a 5% solution for cars, or a 1%–2% solution for motorcycles and bicycles.
- Mist directly onto bare metal brake discs and hubs after washing; do not rinse off.
Enclosed Voids & Sealed Storage
- Spray into hollow sections or cavities at a rate equivalent to 2 ml of neat product per litre of internal volume.
- To enhance protection for stored items, seal the treated object inside a plastic bag or container to trap the active vapour-phase inhibitors.
Post-Cleaning & De-Rusting Rinse
- Add 2% Atom-Mac directly to the final rinse water following chemical rust removal or media blasting.
- Rinse the component thoroughly to eliminate flash rusting.

Is Bilt Hamber Atom-Mac safe for vehicle paintwork?
Yes, Atom-Mac is completely safe for painted surfaces, plastics, and rubber components. It will not cause damage or staining when sprayed over vehicle undersides or body panels.
Can Atom-Mac be applied to brake discs without affecting braking performance?
Yes. When diluted correctly (5% for cars, 1–2% for motorcycles/bicycles) and misted onto bare brake rotors, it leaves an invisible, microscopically thin corrosion barrier. The film burns off harmlessly during the first application of the brakes without degrading stopping power.
Do I need to dry the vehicle before applying Atom-Mac?
No. Atom-Mac is water-borne and can be applied directly to wet surfaces or damp vehicles immediately after washing. The migratory vapour phase inhibitors will continue to protect the metal surfaces even during storage.
