Bilt Hamber Dynax-UC is a transparent anti-corrosion wax coating containing metal-seeking inhibitors that halt active corrosion and prevent new rust formation. It cures to a firm, candle-wax-like film that provides mechanical abrasion resistance, does not peel, and resists dirt pickup. At a target dry film thickness (DFT) of 50 microns, the film remains virtually clear, preserving visual appearance on painted surfaces, exposed metals, and lower body components.
Variant Details
- 750ml Aerosol: Features a 360° valve system (operates upside-down) charged to 70 psi. Includes a standard spray button and a 145mm extension straw for recessed areas. Approximate usage rate: 4 x 750ml cans per medium-sized vehicle underbody.
- 5L Bulk Liquid: Designed for application via brush, roller, or spray equipment. Provides a coverage rate of 8–10 m² per litre.

Surface Preparation & Application
- Cleaning: Steam clean or pressure wash surfaces using an alkaline degreaser (such as Surfex-HD). Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry completely.
- Degreasing: Wipe cleaned surfaces with white spirit or an equivalent solvent prior to application.
- Application: Apply in multiple light, fine coats. Build the film gradually to ~50 microns DFT to ensure optical clarity. Avoid single heavy applications.

Curing: Safe for vehicle use after 30 minutes; full film hardness cures in 24 to 96 hours.
Removal
The protective layer can be left on for extended protection or removed using a hot alkaline degreaser (e.g., Surfex-HD applied hot) or solvent-based wipes.
